Earlier this month, Coral Gables fire, police, public works and service crews spent a day taking dozens of photos and shooting hours of video footage of the city's 47 linear miles of waterways.

``It is a lot easier to show the damage if you have documentation,'' said Coral Gables Fire Chief Walter Reed.
